Tec Sidemount Diver and Instructor courses

The Tec Sidemount Diver course is a great way to get started into technical diving. You will learn how to handle multiple cylinders on a single dive. You can combine what you learn in the Tec Sidemount Diver course with other open-circuit tec courses or certifications you’ve already earned, to take advantage of sidemount’s cylinder configuration.

Sidemount diving is configuring the diver’s cylinders under the diver’s arms, rather than on the back. Sidemount diving is well suited to a lot of different environments. For tec divers, it is more convenient for traveling when double cylinders aren’t available. It is popular for cave diving and single cylinders are easier to haul when divers must carry gear through rough terrain to the water’s edge. Additionally, some divers who have physical limitations prefer sidemount over wearing backmounted cylinders.
