Biography

Mehmet discovered scuba diving whilst on holiday in Singapore in 2001 and has been hooked ever since. He is now a qualified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and enjoys assisting during the pool sessions and with open water training dives, particularly during week days at Stoney Cove and Gildenburgh Water.

Mehmet was fortunate to obtain sponsorship from the London Diving Chamber (LDC) for his PADI Instructor Development Course after competing against some strong applicants. Mehmet chose to complete his IDC with Rec-n-Tec and passed his Instructor Exam in May 2006. He is now looking forward to gaining PADI Speciality Instructor ratings with Rec-n-Tec, under the guidance of Alex - the dive centre's Course Director.

Mehmet will also be spending some time at the London Diving Chamber facility and would like to consider himself as an ambassador for them. If you have any questions on DCS and the work at the chamber you know who to talk to.
