Although it had been a long time ambition, Mark only qualified as an Open Water diver in 1999. Since then he has been increasing his diving knowledge year in and year out, finally qualifying with Rec-n-Tec as an Open Water Scuba Instructor in October 2007.

Originally a self confessed "warm water diver" Mark started to experience some of the great diving the UK has to offer after qualifying as an instructor. Since then, he has never looked back. His only regret is that he didn't start doing so earlier in his diving career. His future aim is to go on at least one diving weekend each month in the UK.

Mark's next ambition is to qualify as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and dreams of early retirement from his day job as a Maintenance Planner so he would have even more time to go diving!
