John

John qualified as an Open Water Diver in August 2006 and was seriously bitten by the dive bug. He then went on with Rec-n-Tec to qualify as a Divemaster in November 2008.
 
John enjoys diving in the lake at Gildy as well as the more tropical waters of the Red Sea. In the future he plans to dive different destinations around the world. It is his dream to dive the Sardine Run in South Africa and to observe Whale Sharks. He is a keen underwater photographer and you will nearly always see him with his camera in his hand, snapping away at the underwater critters and coral.
 
John enjoys the social side of diving and is very grateful for meeting so many new people through diving and broadening his horizons with Rec-n-Tec. His other passion outside of diving is Sunderland AFC.
